Sunday after Thanksgiving in 2008. Jonathan and Roger's home in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. Luca, Nathan and the Englishman arrive at the luncheon.
Luca goes to the Kitchen to talk to Roger.
“Hello, darling. I see you brought the kids!” Roger quipped.
“Bring it on, Roger. I know you have a truckload to say.”
“Me? About what? Your happy expanded family?”
“You cannot blame Nathan for feeling sorry that the English guy is all alone in the city during the holidays,”
“A comic actor! That’s a fantastic addition to our little group, darling!”
“He’s a good actor, by the way. I saw him perform recently. He has a good stage voice and excellent comedic timing.”
Roger sensed that Luca was faking being at ease with the situation.
“Let’s now meet this special guest you so graciously brought to us.” Roger said.
They walked to the living room.
The Englishman was sitting on a chair turned backward, all the other guests surrounding him. He was talking, mimicking, impersonating, while the others laughed loudly.
